ART ON THE ROCKS is the Cognashene Community's summer art gallery showcasing the work of local, national and international artists. It's the perfect opportunity for the community to get together with talented artists and artisans who emphasize the love of Georgian Bay. The annual exhibition is usually held on the last Sunday in July on Maxwell/Whalen Island on the inside main channel.

Lions Art In The Park - August 18-19

Presented by the Uxbridge and District Lions Club

Art In The Park 2018 is in it's 24th year. The festival is situated in Elgin Park, Uxbridge, ON.

Come stroll through the beautifully wooded park, enjoy the fabulous works, with some of Ontario's finest artists, artisans and craft people. Talk with the artists and watch as some will be demonstrating their talent. Take the kids to the Children's play/art and performance area.

All this and the admission and parking are free. This event is a fundraiser, sponsored by the Lions Club. Donations at the gates would be gratefully appreciated and will help the Lions in supporting many worthwhile community and district projects.


Kawartha Arts Festival

September 1 & 2,   2018

The Kawartha Arts Festival was first held in 1989 and started off as a small collection of artists gathering together to give something back to the local arts community. It has since grown into one of the largest art festivals in Southern Ontario and attracts thousands of visitors each year. There will be a shuttle bus from Downtown Fenelon Falls to the fairgrounds. Enjoy artist demonstrations, "Young at Art" display, refreshments, Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream vendor. Wheelchair accessible.

The Bay Studio Tour

September 29-30  2018

Saturday & Sunday  •  10 - 4 pm


The 9th annual Bay Studio Tour will feature artists from the towns of Penetanguishene and Tiny, Ontario. Their studios are located on or near the beautiful shores of Georgian Bay. My connection to this area is deep, as I lived in the area for many years.

There will be approximately 20 local studios participating, with over 30 artists who work in a variety of mediums. I will be a returning guest of my talented potter friend, Antje Gagne, at her studio in Tiny, Ontario.  39 Rue Vanier, Tiny, Ontario.
